TriboSolver 3.2

All six 3.1 simulation families: dry contact, adhesion including electroadhesion, contact temperature, mixed lubrication load sharing, seizure and wear. Batch analysis and parameter studies. Saving and reopening complete results, with PDF, Word and CSV reports. Ten original 3.1 examples and the operating manual help you get started.

Signed licences remain required. Pilot licence holders can open Buy License. The app shows a reminder one month before expiry and provides Refresh License to import a replacement signed licence. Purchases and renewal requests use the website; opening a renewal page does not extend your licence.

Deferred to a later release

New adhesion and seizure model improvements, numerical full-film EHL, the new engineering Tools suite and the in-app updater are deferred. Existing 3.1 adhesion and seizure simulations remain available. Existing mixed lubrication load sharing is retained and is separate from numerical EHL.

Install and keep your previous version

  1. Download the ZIP and compare its SHA-256 checksum with the manifest.
  2. Extract it to a new writable folder. Keep your previous installation, inputs and results.
  3. Start TriboSolver.exe, import your existing valid signed solver licence when requested, and accept the licence agreement.
  4. Use the manual and examples to check your workflow. Save new results separately.

MATLAB Runtime is not required. This portable package does not replace an existing installation. To roll back, close 3.2 and launch your preserved 3.1 copy. The original 3.1 examples and reference manual are included.

Verification and release acceptance

Checks on the Windows 11 development computer passed 76 required regression tests and all ten original examples. Exact-package checks covered fifteen calculation workflows, complete result persistence, reports, batch and study workflows, normal and 150% display scaling, production licence enforcement, native import and refresh, restart, recovery and local rollback.

The release owner reported successful physical sleep/resume on the previous candidate, whose licensing component is unchanged. The separate Windows machine check was waived after Windows blocked the check-kit script; independent clean-machine compatibility remains unverified. These checks do not independently validate every physical model or application. Assess model assumptions, inputs and results for your intended use.

Licensing and support

No licence is included in the download. Choose a licence or request access, or contact us about renewal or feedback. New paid orders receive 3.2. Existing orders retain their original download version; separately reviewed trial and academic grants continue through their existing 3.1 workflow.
